Come and join us on our leisurely cycle rides around York.

York Sustrans volunteer rangers organise leisurely cycle rides around York mostly on traffic-free cycle tracks. Check the calendar! 

The rides are free and there's no need to book, but it would be helpful, if you've never been before if you could let us know that you are interested. See our contacts page

Our rides are on the first Friday of the month. The pace is easy and the distance short. We cycle for 45 minutes to an hour to a cafe. After the cafe stop, you can either cycle back at the same easy pace for 5 to 8 miles or take a longer, (around 15 miles) route home.

Under 16s please bring an adult. Under 6s are best on a tag-along or seat.

PLEASE BRING A SPARE INNER TUBE FOR YOUR BIKE

 1st June  Where the cycle track goes under Clifton Bridge  Moorlands Nature Reserve to see the rhododendrons
 6th July  Millennium Bridge  Vanessa's Garden, Stillingfleet
 3rd August Millennium Bridge   Hungry Hill and the Breezy Knees cafe
 
 7th September  Where the cycle track goes under Clifton Bridge  Red House (near Moor Monkton) and Wyevale Garden Centre
 5th October  Chimney in Morrison's car park,
Foss Islands Road		  Sncycleways (discover some of the hidden alleyways of York. Cafe stop YHA)
 2nd November  Millennium Bridge  Askham Bog (and Annexe cafe in Copmanthorpe)
 7th December  Chimney in Morrison's car park, Foss Islands Road  Clifton Backies (and then Clifton Moor for coffee stop)
